A poster for a conference on osteoporosis. The brief was deliberately open - find an interesting way in - which is harder than it sounds, because a subject like this pulls everything towards clinical stock imagery. I went at it as pure form-finding, with no idea what the end result should look like. What came out is a collage of long exposures with the colours inverted, which lands surprisingly close to a real X-ray. That was not planned; the process handed it over, and it fit the subject better than anything I could have sketched up front.
